“I have worked at South Texas Rehabilitation Hospital for seven months. While in school to become an occupational therapist, I was placed at South Texas Rehabilitation Hospital during my Level I fieldwork. There, I met my clinical instructor, Angie. She taught me about the inpatient setting and how interdisciplinary relationships work to provide the best possible treatment for the patients. While observing, I learned that the inpatient setting is where I belong. Once I passed my national board exam, STRH was at the top of my list for employment, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work at this organization and grow in my career. Here at STRH, I can continue my education from various departments, and everyone is always willing to lend a hand when needed. Our hard work is always valued and shown in the functional outcomes of our patients.”
