“Three years ago, South Texas Rehabilitation Hospital opened the doors and welcomed me as a recent social work graduate in the case management department.

Ever since then, my goal consists of being that bridge of understanding between the patient and the medical team. Daily, I get to witness how much effort, dedication, and compassion are being contributed by our interdisciplinary team, where everyone goes above and beyond to accomplish our main goal, which is to transition our patients back into our community at the highest level of independence. Personally, as a professional, it is an honor to be under the guidance of an amazing director of case management, and to be part of a great knowledgeable team, where together, WE ALWAYS DO WHATS RIGHT FOR THE PATIENT. Thanks to STRH, I am in a setting where my time and purpose feel truly valued.
