“I was so happy to hear of this opportunity to serve here at Bakersfield Rehabilitation Hospital because I will have a direct and an indirect impact on the healing process. To me, the healing process is so amazing and it’s something I love to be part of, no matter the role. We are stewards in an honorable profession and it takes all positions to make it work! Whether you’re in nursing, housekeeping, maintenance, dietary, reception, laundry, or therapy and have direct contact with the patient, your role and service level is fundamental in the healing process (which I think is so cool). Also the behind-the-scenes staff in the administrative functions like getting referrals, human resources, business development, and quality of care that allow the front line staff to partake in providing the environment that will not only allow healing but encourage it.
